*Consumer Access to Financial Records –Sec. 1033


Description
In 2010 Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Act, which contains section 1033(a). Section 1033(a)
prescribe rules requiring an institution to make available to a consumer information that the institution may have regarding any financial product or service between the consumer and the institution.

We will look at some applicable history, other regulations that may be effected, ongoing discussions with the regulators, and how to be ready.

Speaker and Bio:

Diane Banks

Diane is a Principal Consultant with a background in federal consumer compliance regulations and is the lead for Capco’s training academy. She has over 30 years of experience in training and monitoring of regulatory compliance mandates. She has her degree in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland. She previously worked as a consumer lender and compliance officer for a regional bank. She has extensive experience in developing and delivering training to federal and state banking agencies, state associations, large and small financial entities. She is frequently requested as a speaker because of her unique ability to instruct in a manner that is engaging, enlightening and informative.
