Through meticulous analysis of legal and regulatory requirements, trends and pending changes, Capco Academy develops training curricula to address financial institution risks, challenge personnel to find or apply solutions, and provide an array of delivery mediums to meet the differing schedule, budgetary and other logistical needs of attendees. Our phased approached in developing training materials is as follows:

• Source documents are broken down and major themes are identified. This will be information set by client, and can capture traditional rules, regulations and guidance; but can also be other source documents like speeches, judicial opinions and congressional hearing testimony.
• Once broken down once, the source information is evaluated again, this time to identify specific relevance. The information is also mapped into a more specific area. In the example below, the information from the CFPB Director’s speech is focused from ‘Debt Collection’ to ‘First Party Debt Collection.’
• A team of analysts take the information from Phase 2 and synthesize it with other information. This way, the information is not just presented in a vacuum. Connection to other source information helps to show that suspected trends and developments are moving forward or slowing down and can help an institution recognize a change in a regulator or lawmaker’s direction.
